New Paper on Glide Symmetry of Architectured Materials
Many lattice structures gain exceptional static/dynamic performance from their glide symmetry, e.g. auxetic behavior, broad band gap, band-sticking, etc. In our recent work "Symmetry and degeneracy of phonon modes for periodic structures with glide symmetry" published in JMPS, we present a group-theoretical framework determining the symmetry and degeneracy of phonon modes for p4g lattice structures. This work is useful for band sorting, model reduction, and instability analysis for periodic architectured materials with glide symmetry.
